 Step 1 - The Submission

Choosing the connected non-profit and inspiration for the cleat.

Detroit Impact (click here to learn more)

I chose Detroit Impact Inc. because it is associated with specifically theCody Rouge Neighborhood. This neighborhood holds a special place in myheart, my dad grew up here, I did one of my first outdoor murals here and Ihad the pleasure of meeting and talking to many in the community thattouched me. So much so, towards the end of that mural they reallyembraced me when my dad had a stroke - it'll mean more to me than theywill ever know. Detroit Impact is so important because it is a place wherekids can explore their dreams and learn something new in a safe space. Itprovides the children and parents with the resources they need to pursuetheir future whatever that may be. Volunteers, community, positivity, support, and guidance is what makes this program essential to CodyRouge and the surrounding areas.
