Cześć ( hello!) My name is Andrea Slomczenski
Throughout my life, I've been consistently described as kind, sensitive, and industrious. From a young age, I was driven by an unyielding curiosity and passion for creation. This journey culminated during my college years, where I explored various disciplines but always returned to my true passion: painting. Inspired by the relentless work ethic of my parents, I embraced every challenge, continuously learning and growing through hands-on experiences and creative pursuits.
My artistic journey began in high school, where I ambitiously tackled large canvases, honing my skills and building a portfolio that secured my acceptance into the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit. Initially focused on Illustration, my aspirations fluctuated as I explored Concept Art, Editorial work, and Comic Books. However, I consistently gravitated toward large-scale projects, eventually realizing my passion for murals. Guided by mentors and enriched by collaborative ventures, I built a robust portfolio that prepared me for significant public art projects.
One of my most meaningful projects was an outdoor mural in Detroit's Cody Rouge neighborhood, completed during a challenging period in my life. The support and kindness of the community highlighted the profound sense of camaraderie and inspired my work. This mural, along with my subsequent participation in the NFL Draft city's initiative, underscored the transformative power of community collaboration.
Beyond murals, I apply my creativity and problem-solving skills as a Creative Instructional Designer at Denihan Consulting, Inc., where I develop training materials for the Affordable Housing Industry. My expertise includes instructional design, eLearning development, and managing learning management systems, contributing to the successful training of over 90,000 lenders.
My journey, shaped by resilience, creativity, and continuous learning, has taught me the importance of dedication and authenticity. By embracing challenges and staying true to my passions, I've built a diverse and impactful career, driven by a commitment to growth and excellence.
When not immersed in my creative pursuits, you'll likely find me shredding the slopes snowboarding, participating in races of various lengths, embarking on adventures, going to music festivals, or indulging in some retro gaming on my GameCube or diving into the latest titles on my PS5 streaming on Twitch. And yes, I proudly embrace my role as a meme queen, living my dream to the fullest. Feel free to reach out; let's connect and explore the endless possibilities together!
