Veiled - A Masked Reverie, 2024

Traditional folk costume, identity partly concealed by a mysterious mask. Holding a chicken before a light blue circle, she stands at the intersection of tradition and transformation. The intricate headdress adorning her head speaks of ancestral heritage, while the snake winding nearby hints at the cycles of life and the unseen forces of change. Amidst a backdrop of upside-down tears and blossoming flowers, the scene resonates with a poignant duality, where sorrow meets resilience and beauty thrives amidst adversity. Through layers of symbolism, the painting invites contemplation on the complexities of identity, the preservation of cultural roots, and the eternal dance between tradition and innovation.

Exhibited at:

  • Michigan Glass Project - Detroit, MI. at the Russell Industrial - June 2024

City Walls Group Show, 2022

Nie Wywołuj Wilka z Lasu, 2022

"Nie Wywołuj Wilka z Lasu," a mixed media painting featured in the 2022 City Walls Detroit group show, is a bold exploration of folklore, resilience, and community. The title, translating to "Don’t Call the Wolf Out of the Forest," captures the tension between caution and courage, a theme echoed in both the visual composition and the narrative it represents. Through layered textures, vibrant hues, and symbolic imagery, this piece weaves traditional Polish sayings into a contemporary urban context. Showcased as part of the year-end celebration of murals with City Walls Detroit and fellow artists, this painting marked the culmination of a remarkable year dedicated to transforming public spaces through art. It reflects the collaborative spirit and the shared energy of a community that values both its heritage and its future.
