Stół z Powyłamywanymi Nogami - Process
#1 Reference Photos - My sister
#3 Final Line/Sketch
#2 Thumbnails - compositional and aesthetically I liked #2 the best.
#5 Coating with gesso
#7 I started off painting with taping off the letters and getting that out of the way first.
#9 Well, from here it was just a matter of completing it!
#4 Color Studies - I ended up going with the very last one.
#6 Since this mural was roughing 3ft by 5ft, I got it printed on some cheap paper for the transfer and used graphite transfer sheets. Then I made registration marks for the drawing.
#8 Painting the Flowers
#10 Painted the sides.
#11 Before the final process/step I put a matte varnish on to seal the whole painting and sides.
I accidentally found something super cool during all of this…
#12 Putting the Gloss on the letters with stencils I cut out on my Cricut. I decided to do this so you can get a full read on the letter on that matte vs gloss finish. So that the letters come through even though they’re intertwined in the painting design itself.
Done! Thank you for coming on this journey with me! :)
